When the fashion weeks start in some ways it is like a big family getting back together and when one of our numbers are missing we wonder where they are. Some of the family only show up in certain cities and others are there in them all. You get along with some family members more than others. Most are pleasent some are downright rude. But generally get are all there for each other, helping with directions to the next show, working out the transport system in each city and sharing cabs when necessary. All heading our seperate ways as the light fades as it is a very busy time for us and all have deadlines to meet.
Guerre is a member of the family I would consider a friend. When I was growing up at home in Ireland we would regularly say "c'est la vie" as a way of explanation my dad would always respond back with "c'est la guerre". It makes me smile to realise I am now friends with Guerre. I find the fact that Guerre has this name an amazing juxtaposition as he in one of the most peaceful people I know.
I have photographed Guerre before for GQ and would have done so again in London in September but London was the city he missed this season. And with the best reason in the world as his wife, had just given birth to their second daughter. It was Guerres idea to take the 1st picture in this series today and when I saw him again the next day I decided we should make it a series. After all Guerre as you can see is actually one the best dressed guys on the fashion week circuit. And not only the epitiome of style and grace is a great photographer and has a wonderful blog too which you can see here.
In the first look Guerre is wearing a Pinzano hat, Eton shirt, Ralph Lauren trousers and Grenson shoes. Look two is a Dobbs hat, vintage top, Hickey Freeman trousers Coach belt and Cole Haan shoes. Look three is a Borsalino hat, Dior shirt, Coach belt, Paul Stuart trousers and Chole Haan shoes.
