Out and about....Gabrielle Hackworthy

From Fashionistable

From Fashionistable

Gabrielle is the Fashion Director of UK Harpers Baazar. There is something about her that I really like. Every time we meet, even if she is rushing off somewhere else she is always stops and gives me time without making me feel rushed, which is very generous. We even managed to have a nice chat in Paris.
I first photographed her here.

Out and about....always different

From Fashionistable

I first met Kimberly here. She certainly knows how to wear colour well. She is originally from the Netherlands but lives in Spain now. Her blog is Always Different. I would say she lives up to her blog name very well. Her surprise for us is that sometimes she says she is a little too expressive. In our 1st shot she is wearing a Stella McCartney jacket, H&M stripey top, Zara skirt, Topshop shoes and is carrying (in both shots) a Givenchy bag. In the second shot she is wearing a dress from Hong Kong and Zara shoes.

Out and about....with Matilde

From Fashionistable
Stephanie is from Melbourne and is a visual merchandiser for Ted Baker, Alex is Japanese/German and lives in Berlin. He is a Music Producer and Bee Keeper. So why out and about with Matilde? Why, that is the name is Stephanie's bike of course.
Stephanie describes her style influence as androgynous girly, relaxed, not too tight. Alex's is good European/Danish furniture design. When I asked where their favourite place in London was, Alex said Stephanie's bedroom. Sweet.  Surprisingly Stephanie says that when she is stressed she bakes. Alex's surprise was that he spent the 1st 7years of his life on a boat on the Indian Ocean.

I have photographed the lovely Imogen from Eight London a few times now in both London and Paris. As you can see Imogen is friends with Peony. When we met this time she said that she had liked the series I had done with Peony at London Fashion Week so I asked if she would like to do the same in Paris and this is our story together. It was only when I sat down to process all the images that I realised that she had carried a reddy/orange theme through all of her outfits. I like her thinking.  Imogen moved to Paris in the summer and is very happy with her move. You can check out her blog here.
In the 1st shot she is wearing an H&M dress, Kimono from Topshop and her hat and bag are vintage. For the second image her scarf is from Zara, top is vintage, skirt Topshop, bag Chanel and shoes Tori Birch. And finally her red dress in the final shots is by Jitrois, her boots are Topshop and her bag is vintage.
In the final shot she is joined by Peony Lim and Audrey Leighton Rodgers (Frassy). Peony is wearing a hat she made herself, All Saints shirt, with vintage lace top below. Moschino skirt, Louboutin shoes and is carrying a vintage clutch. Audrey is wearing a vintage top, ASOS skirt ring and sunglasses by herself and Stradivarius shoes.

Out and about....taking a break

From Fashionistable
Let me describe the scene. This was a blisteringly hot day. It was 1.30 in the afternoon in the Tuileries (in Paris) and even though everyone was turning up for the Viktor and Rolf show I had to leave as I thought I was dying. It was about 30 degrees and the sun was beating down. Now I love the sun and the heat BUT the surface on the ground of the Tuileries is white so what was coming down was also bouncing back up. I just couldn't function. I believe, if something doesn't feel right and you move something special will come your way and that day was no exception. As I made my out of the park and down one of the shaded side avenues I came across this scene. I took quite a few shots before I caught Akari attention. I had seen her walking Theo and he just stopped and sat down and quite simply refused to move. So she started to text while he had a rest. The whole time however he sat and looked straight at me while I took pictures. I wanted her to look too which is why eventually I shouted hello. She was surprised but let me take a few frames. Akari is a stylist. Her dress and shoes are Balenciaga, her glasses are Immanuel Khan and her bag is Aha.

When models leave shows if you are lucky they will stand still for a while then they are off. Isabella was quite kind with her time as you can see from the 1st image. However as you all know I don't like to join the scrum, so stepped back and watched which way she was headed. You don't have to go far until the crowd thins. So I asked again and she kindly let me shoot. Isabella is with Elite models and is originally from Sweden. She is wearing a jumpsuit from Zara and s carrying a Hermes bag. I couldn't decide which full length image to post which is why you have 2.

Out and about....band 4 hope

From Fashionistable
Lucie is part of the Vagabond Van initiative which  - in their own words - are
"Eclectic, ethical and one-of-a-kind! Vagabond Van offers eco-chic fashion made by hand with love from Africa. We work with craftspeople all over Africa, recycling (or 'upcycling' as we like to say!) everything from vintage silks from the 60's to detergent bottles, adding to the unique story which each piece has to tell and minimising its effect on the environment."
The van is a 1952 Flying Cloud Airstream caravan. And is now parked in Camden near Proud Galleries. This month they are launching their Band 4 Hope (follow this link to join in) where you buy a copper and zinc band, ethically hand crafted again in Africa. A 1/4 of the sale price goes to a charity of your choice. The idea is that you buy the band. Wear it for 4 weeks then pass it on and watch its journey online at the band4hope blog. Interesting concept have a look.
Lucie is wearing jewelery and a skirt from Vagabond Van, her waistcoat is a 60's original. Her small clutch was a gift, her bag is from a market in Cape Town.

Out and about....3 cities with Natalie Joos

From Fashionistable
London - Christopher Kane sweater, Michael Angel skirt, Tom Ford glasses, Marni clutch and Pierre Hardy shoes.

From Fashionistable
Milan in vintage, bag Prada

From Fashionistable
Paris - in Peter Pilotto dress and shoes, Marni clutch and Karen Walker glasses.

Here is the wonderful vivacious Natalie Joos. She always dresses very colourfully and as a result is another favourite with the photographers. She is very gracious when the pack gets going and will stand and smile until they have had their fill. So I would wait too and eventually we always managed to get some time away from the throng to shoot properly. Natalie is a Fashion Consultant and Casting Agent but also has her own blog Tales of Enderment where she talks about her life and her love of vintage. It is a great read go check it out.

I know I have kinda disappeared recently Love, Life and the Universe took over, things are settling again. I promise to catch up with you all more regularly soon. Love Dvora Xxxx
