Out and about....behind the scenes - Elena Perminova

The first shot of Elena was taken just before the Jean Paul Gaultier show. The second while we were waiting for the show to start. The only rest our street style stars actually get is when the shows are on and of course when they are in their cars between the shows. But Elena and Miroslava from yesterday are brilliant, playful and give us lots of time to get our shots. In these shots she is wearing a Louis Vuitton hat, Tommy Hilfiger jumper and Balenciaga  (I want these) shoes.

This is what it looks like when everyone is shooting and our subject is on the move. we are all on the street with the traffic. Then suddenly your subject finds herself in the middle of the road on her own - or maybe that is a trick of the lens ;-) In these shots Miroslava is wearing Louis Vuitton.

Out and about....my view - Iris Van Herpen

It was a very sumptuious room that Iris showed her collection in. A theater in the round with the models spent a long time in the room as the theater unfolded. Before the show started and then when all the models were in their places a statue in the middle of the room came to life emitting currents of electricity like small bolts of lighting into the room.

During my time in Paris I got to see a couple of the shows. It was a nice treat for me to see the theater unfold. Hope you enjoy my view point of the Gaultier show.

Today when you read this I will be in Paris, I left on the 5.40am Eurostar, it is an early start but lovely journey. I will be covering the Couture shows for Vogue. I am even getting out of the cold and will see some of the shows this time. I love the opulence and fantasy of couture and am really looking forward to it.
I took this photo of the lovely Natalie at the London Collections: Men and am bound to see her again in Paris. She is wearing a Belstaff jacket and Louboutin shoes here.
